On 13 April, I put myself on the way to the 4th stage of 15 of the “path of the ridges of the Jura”, which crosses the Switzerland of the northeast to the Southwest. As I mentioned in the minutes of the previous step, this 2017 challenge ahead, but however I’m late in my reviews.
This 4th stage is the first of the journey where we leave a little civilization. Path forest and pasture are waiting. With a length of 21km, the course is very hilly, with a climb of 1000 meters, and a breakneck descent towards the plain end.
The official description is:
On the way to the Belchenfluh, buildings and arms remind of the valour of the Switzerland during the world wars. After the hamlet of Barenwil, by the Tiefmatt until Roggen. Balsthal salute with Neu-Falkenstein and his paper mill.
It is true that along the way, we’ll see, on the cliffs, flags of the various military sections who defended our country during the two wars.
As for the previous step, this account will be very brief, because – that the course was made 10 days ago, and that, to write a detailed, summary I would need me to immediately. So let’s make a summary in pictures. Except that, having forgotten my backup battery for my phone (and incidentally camera…), the photos of this stage are rare…

Hi Could i ask some questions? How did you solve the problem of shower and toilet? Did you stay all days in refuge? I’m planning all days by camping but during TMB I had no problem of above two things but i heard this trail is difficult to find camping site. Are there any solution for this? Or some refuge, can we pay for bathroom and toilet only? And another important thing is water, i heard it is difficult to find but each daily can get water somewhere or could we ask for some randomly house?? Somebody said 4 liters will be good. Minimum should be 4 liters?? How about food?? I’ll bring some energy bar, how did you solve eating? Much Thanks. I will leave tommorrow so that only comment, please understand.
