My challenge 2017: Jura Crest Trail, Let’s go !

I don’t want to panic you, but 1/6th of 2017 is already behind us. I don’t know about you, but from my side it went fast enough. So if you’re the type to make resolutions for this year, we should see to get started can be.

For my part, I banish the term “resolutions”. On the other hand, the beginning of the year is quite automatically the opportunity to set goals or challenges. Between “resolutions”, “objectives” and “challenges”, the nuance is certainly required, but I notice that I report easier challenges I want my resolutions or goals.

A goal that I set for myself in (late) 2016, was of definitely me (re) make the hike. Because for various reasons, valid or not, these… last 20 years have been a result for which is walks: children in low age, lack of energy, scruples to me alone, and many other excuses have limited my outings. But miss me it.

So, this year I set myself a challenge to high “enough” for me: do all of the steps of the path of the ridges of the Jura. Of Dielsdorf in Nyon, 310 km in 15 steps, 13’800 m D +.  One of the 7 national routes proposed by Switzerland Rando and his site wanderland.ch. 

Yesterday, on 25 February, I did step 1. A bit long perhaps for a resumption of new year (25km, 900 m D +). But this 1/15th of challenge is raised, and I’m (almost) untouched: my feet are in a State which exceed the reasonable limit.

So today, I take the risk you take to witness: now that I have publicly stated my challenge, going to I assume it. I will keep you informed with small accounts on this blog. But for now, that I have treated my blisters…
